Jun Nishida has started a faculty position at UMD

Our PI, Jun Nishida has started a faculty position at the Department of Computer Science, the University of Maryland, College Park, opening the Embodied Dynamics Laboratory.

I will explore how the human body, actions, and somatic interactions contribute to the formation of human skills, knowledge, subjectivity, and behavior.

To this end, we design and engineer new embodiments via on-body somatic interfaces, creating novel ways to communicate physical skills and subjective experiences across people in order to support sharing perspectives in diverse domains including motor learning, rehabilitation, product design, and musical pedagogy.

Join our team at the intersection of engineering, interaction design, and human science!
